No, you’re not doing anything wrong. The 401 is a 4 hole atomizer model and some people prefer covering a couple of the holes. The sucking sound is normal, it’s just the way it’s designed and a lot of e-cigarettes make some kind of noise when drawn on.

It’s really a matter of preference how you use it. I prefer to not cover any holes because it’s a lighter draw, but I occasionally cover a couple of holes also.

Also when connecting your atomizer to the cartridge, push up the inner cartridge and then push it down with the atomizer, that way you’re getting the maximum amount of liquid on your atomizer and best performance.

With a model like this (exposed atomizer) some people even prefer to dip directly into the liquid and then use an empty cartridge.

I just purchased the Elegante M401 Starter Kit and I have a question. After letting my battery charge completely and start drawing on my Elegante all I here is air like sucking on a straw. Here is the thing if I slightly place my fingers where the cartridge and the atomizer meet then I get a better draw. I’m I doing something wrong
