What kind of battery did you use? And are there any additional cables or plugs I would need to purchase to make this thing work. What type of store would carry these things? Your video’s are very helpful. Maybe post some more, I really enjoy them.
It’s a modded 3.7 volt battery. That’s not me in the video by the way. If you’re handy you can make them, but I’ve also seen them sold for anywhere between $100 – 200.
It’s basically a larger battery that can be bought at your local electronics store and it has a connector to connect to your atomizer.
Dave,
I’m using my new modded battery, but can you tell me if this is supposed to light up when it’s working?
It’s producing vapor with my atomizers, but it doesn’t seem like it’s doing a great job for some reason.
How can I “cook” my atomizers to try fixing them? Do I have to soak them in Pepsi first, wash them out, dry them, then hook them up to the modded?
Thanks,
Joanie
It doesn’t light up. You basically just hold the button down and you’ll hear the atomizer sizzle. Do that a few times in 10 second increments to burn off old excess liquid. If the atomizers are completely gone nothing will save them. If it’s producing vapor than that means they have some life left in them.
After you’ve burnt everything off, add a drop or so directly on to the atomizer, fill your cartridge and start puffing. It won’t taste very good for the first few minutes, but after a bit it should perform better than ever.
Hey Thanks !!
I got all but one of my atomizers to vape like crazy now. The one that didn’t, I’m soaking it out, rinsing it, then drying and I’ll give it another cook to see if I can bring it back to life. If not…then I’ve only lost one atomizer. Not too shabby !!
I did hear the snapping and I watched it light up inside til it smoked. Then I stopped & cooled it down before I added the drop of liquid.
Your right..the 1st taste was a little burnt, but I just blew it out without inhaling. Now they worked like a charm.
Yay !!!
Your the best, Dave. Thanks !!
i can’t believe i watched the whole thing. actually pretty entertaining for a half-baked vaper such as myself.
can i just use my regular pen battery to cook the atomizer? it doesn’t really seem worth a couple hondo just to fix a six dollar piece.
You can actually do this with most batteries. The way to do it is pull the cartridge off of the atomizer, then blow on the battery in increments of about 10 seconds (you don’t want to completely fry your atomizer which is possible doing this). Basically put the battery in your mouth like you’re smoking/vaping and instead of inhaling, blow to activate the battery.
If you’re doing things right or your atomizer isn’t too clogged/completely dead you should hear it sizzle and it will give off a little bit of vapor.
It’s not me in the video, but it can happen for various reasons. Most likely he inhaled more than he expected. If you’re use to it, it doesn’t happen very often. Sometimes it “goes down the wrong pipe,” kind of like when you drink water and that happens and you start to cough.
i have bought many ecigetettes but they seem to not work after about a month or two. i like e cigerettes choice number 7. betwwen my husband an i we have over 8 batteries not working and it hasnt been six months yet.some of them continue to light and the light does not go out, and dont produce any vapors, others just dont do anything at all.is there any way for me to open them up ?if i suspect eliquid inside of the battery itself how can i dry it out? i have tried the compressed air already ,nothing..is ther any way you could help me with this problem?i dont want to go back to buying packs.sinceraly desperite
There really isn’t much you can do with a battery unless you’re very handy. Batteries have an internal switch that is activated by your puffing and sometimes they get stuck whether it’s by liquid or just because the switch felt like getting stuck. The way to saving some batteries is unsticking this switch. Personally I destroy batteries every time I take them a part so when the switch is stuck or the battery stops working I just toss it. If you’re handy you can give it a shot, the worse case scenario is you wasted a few minutes on a bad battery, best case scenario you fixed it.
Also some model batteries are generally less finicky than others. The model you’re using sounds like one of the finicky battery models. You might want to try fixing your batteries and/or trying a new model. It hurts sometimes to switch models, but in the long run you can save money if you find something that is a little more reliable and lower maintenance.
What are you trying to buy? You can actually do this with you own battery most of the time. If you have the manual battery just hold the button down for a few seconds if you have an automatic battery blow on it from the LED end. It all works the same.

Why do you cough when inhaling the vapors
