Mirela,

Sorry I did not reply to U in so long. I just now found your note.
Thank Goodness Dave did !!

I love my Mod because like Dave said...it gives me a great battery life. I also love them to "burn off" the old juice in my atomizers when they get clogged up.
U can find instructions for this on U-Tube or U can ask Dave. But basically all U have to do is attach your atomizer to the mod, press the "on" button for about 5 to 7 seconds at a time, until U hear the "pop" of the stuff burning off. Do it a few times & your done.
I use plain old fiber filler to replace the fill in my filters, and I bought a bag of it at Walmart for $3.99. U need to use so little of it, that a bag will likely last your entire life !!

I don't change mine very often at all. What I do do...is pull it out of my filter, rinse it under warm water & blot it dry on a paper towel.
That gets the old juice out of it & it's good to go again.
It's best to keep good maintenance on your e-cig parts so they will last U longer, and give U better service.
When U notice your vapor slowing down & it isn't from not having juice in your e-cig...it usually means it needs cleaning or your out of juice. Check both.
By the way..the Joye 510 is one of my favorites also. It gives off a lot of vapor.
U can interchange the 510 atomizers with other batteries by using an adapter too. Dave sells these. Just ask him which U need for your type of e-cig.

I have interchanged my "Fino" batteries with 510 atomizers by using an adapter & they not only work great, but last longer before needing a recharge.
But it's like Dave said...we all have out favorites when it comes to e-cig types.
In a regular type, I love the "Fino" manual battery & the 510 atomizer. Only because the Fino battery lasts longer before needing a recharge then the 510 does.
It's a little bigger & heavier tho...so if U prefer the lighter weight of the 510, stick with it.
I wake up a lot during the night, so I keep my Joye 510 by my bedside for those times.
During the day...I Use mostly my mods.
Mainly, for the battery life. Less recharging.
I am a vapor freak!! The more the better. So I keep my parts as clean as possible. Makes them last longer too, so less need to keep buying new ones.

E-cigs are lots cheaper the analogs anyway..even if U do have to replace parts often, so not to worry anyway.
I have saved hundreds of dollars already. And I would be lost without my e-cigs !!
I See what happened on your camping trip when U forgot to bring yours. Those times are the pits !!
You'll get used to bringing them with U more as time goes on.
And don't forget to bring juice too !!
I keep smaller bottles handy for travel. At home, I use 30 mg. size.
I also mix my own juice. Saves tons of money. U should look into that too.
Dave helped me alot in this venture. Gave me all the info on where to go for supplies.
Or...U can just buy bottles from Dave too. He has a nice selection of flavors & less messy.
Again...so sorry for the lateness of this reply. I hope it helps some.
Don't forget to check out U-tube videos. U can learn a lot from, them.

A mod more than anything means better battery life and usually means you can buy cheaper batteries (at other places that aren't related to e-cigarettes, you pay a premium at the end of the day to get an e-cigarette designed/compatible battery). I haven't refilled a cartridge in several months I actually just keep throwing liquid on top of my cartridges until they aren't working too well, but most people use polyester fiber. You can get a cheap flammable pillow or non-treated pillow and/or just the filling for under $5 at Walmart which should me more than a lifetime supply. Worst case scenario when you order add a note that says something like, "Throw in some poly fill," and we'll throw some in with your order.

@Joanie:
I read so many comments (starting with the firs one on this site) that I found myself well into the night/morning hours :) therefore I skipped through all remaining ones and read yours, the last one. My question (it may have been answered already, who knows) is what exactly is a "mod"? How is it beneficial, please?
Anyway, I am a 2 week old e-cig smoker, so very happy with my Joye 510 starter pack :) One thing I need help with is when/how/what to use for re-filling my cartridges? Cotton? Pollyfiber? Teabags? Please tell me what would work best for a semi "idiot" (sic) beginner in the e-cigs world! No analog cigs yet in the last 2 weeks (except 2 packs over the last weekend when I went camping and did not have my e-cigs with me). Any advice for a beginner idiot would be highly appreciated! (David, please step in :)

Just leaving a note for Sharon if U see it. About using up a lot of atomizers.

I also started needing to replace a lot of atomizers. I found that if U blow them out from both ends, into a tissue every week & get the extra juice out of them, they supply U with better vapor & don't die so fast.
I also tried the U-tube "soaking" methods to clean them, but it didn't really work that well for me.
I even think it made them worse sometimes.

Cleaning ur atomizers is also a good reason to own a mod, so U can attach your old atomizers & burn out the gunk to get them going again.
This is another method that works well.

That's the only other way I found to get them clean & working again..

I also love my KR-808-1D's. Did I type that right ? Oh well..U know what I mean. lol
I love the long battery life & the manual ones R great !! I've switched most of my batteries to manual now, but I still have some good old auto ones hangin' in there too.

I also love my mods. I have 2 different ones, but I recently melted my favorite one of them. (boo-hoo)
I forgot to turn it off & had it in my pocket when I laid down to take a nap.
(I don't recommend doing this)

Well...I woke up feeling a burning on my side & found it was my mod, that had been melting in my pocket.
I haven't buried it yet. I'm very attached to it. lol

Gonna hafta ask Dave to dig out one if he has any left, coz I don't see 'em on site anymore. ( n' this mod was my favorite one.) Still have my other mod tho, so it isn't too bad.

Keep up the good work Sharon. It's hard to quit, for us old time smokers. Thank God (& Dave) we have our E-cigs to help !!

I agree about the 901...I am going thru my atomizers pretty fast, maybe I am overfilling or something. So far I am still smoke free, but last weekend I did cheat and bummed a smoke from my room mate. I really didnt get anything from it and actually missed the taste of my e-cigs...they do taste better. I wish e-cigs were advertised in magazines...so many smokers do not even know they exists..I am constantly giving demonstrations on my train, trying to get others to try e-smoking.

I've tried the greensmoke once and it blew decent vapor. I've heard reviews that the KR808D-1 has more of a kick to it, but not as much vapor compared to it. Personally the 901 is my favorite and the 510 comes in second place. Everyone has different tastes when it comes to their preferred model as well as the liquids.

You know what would be outragious...for someone to find out who does make the greensmoke carts and have them made made to fit the KR808.....

I dont know if you have ever smoked the greensmoke cart in tobacco, strawberry or vanilla, but its unbelievable tasting, with tons of vapor...It would knock them out from being #1
Just an idea...

Oh my, Got my supplies today and I really like refilling it myself. I find all cartomizers to be a little weak tasting, except for the greensmoke carts....I wonder who makes theirs? Well I had tons of carts to fit my batteries. So far I have 2 vapor King, long batteries, just got your manuel battery (like it) and 2 smoke tips which are all the same batteries. The only different one's are my Blu and my greensmoke. I think I have enough. I like having them all on me according to what mood I'm in and what I like to smoke. So far the KR808d-1 I think is a great battery. I think I'm turning into a vapor monster... Thanks for answering

Hello Sharon:

Sorry for not responding sooner. Great that you've stopped smoking. Keep up the good work.

Now onto your questions. If the SmokeTip is a KR808D-1 than the DSE901 atomizer should work fine with it. That would be all you need except for maybe cartridges. If you have liquid already you can drip it directly onto the atomizer and use the cartridge that comes with it so you don't get burnt.

As far as how much is enough. That's a tough question and I can't give you a real answer except that I have one stuck to my lip pretty much all day. If you've had enough your body will probably tell you to stop. You will probably get nauseous when you've hit your limit. It happens to me every once in a while. Especially when I cut to a lower strength and then go back up in strength.

I actually had a couple of greensmoke cartridges (cartomizers) and they can be filled the same way as the KR808D-1 cartomizers. http://cigarettereplacer.com/how-to-refill-an-e-cig-cartomizer/ . There is going to be another video added with a better way to refill cartomizers soon.
