David thank you so much for doing these video’s. They have saved me from buying way too much crap that isn’t needed. And I am no longer buying cartridges either. Alot cheaper doing things the way you show them. I had bought a second starter kit, thinking the firswt one was dead, turned out it was dirty and it works now better than the second one I bought. Also due to your cleaning video, thanks again.
I didn’t do these videos. They are actually from YouTube. They are very good though.
A lot of people buy tons of extra parts that aren’t necessary. The main thing is having an extra battery and atomizer. The cartridges can last a very long time (as long as you change the filler every once in a while). I’ve been vaping for a few months myself and I’m still on the original cartridges on all of the e-cigarettes I use.
I have owned an In Life Royale E-cig for a month now and it resembles the pen type e-cigs like yours in the videos, but after four weeks my battery (the only one that came with it) runs for an hour and then needs charged for three again. It used to only have to be charged twice in a 24 hour period but now it’s just a joke to use. I tried the company and they don’t sell single parts that I can find. I can’t spend another 149. for another one are there any others that are the same as that style that I could get a battery from or is there something I could be doing wrong with the battery I have. I don’t believe I have hurt it at all, it just seems to be useless now. Any thoughts? I’m definately stressed about it.
The DSE801 battery might work for it, but don’t quote me on it, they look similar. If you find you can’t find parts for your e-cigarette, sometimes it’s easier to cut your losses and move onto a different model.
About the battery life. It really varies and I’m not even going to say it’s from model to model, it varies on individual battery. I’ve sent out brand new kits with batteries that come dead or almost dead (and these are brand new batteries). Of course I’ve sent out even more kits where there weren’t any more problems. I think the manufacturers don’t have very strong quality control on these things.
You probably aren’t doing anything wrong, the battery might just be on it’s way out. All of the parts on the ecig are basically disposable after a certain amount of uses. An atomizer might only last you a few weeks (or months), a battery a few months (or less), and the carts the stuffing can burn and you have to change that out and every once in a while you might want to change cartridges.
Basically they’re made with all parts that can go bad at anytime. It’s always good to have spares. I personally use every model of e-cigarette I sell and rotate between them throughout the day.
To Karen, myinlife will replace your bad products free of charge as long as they as still in warranty. And you can get extra parts if you just go to the acceseriess section. Just e-mail them or call 949-250-9600 with your order number if you still have it. They will help you out. But this guy here does seem to have very good advise. Hope you get this and hope it helps. Sue
I just got the 801 atomizer and battery and it does fit the elite and royale from inlife and charger as well. I will now order and try the 901 to see if it will work with my prestige. I also bought the poly and e- liquid. I have used e-liquid in the past for old cartridges to make them last longer and have saved lots of money and love the stuff. So many favors to chose from. But the poly refill will be new to me and I will try as well.
That’s great the 801 parts worked. With the poly refill make sure you don’t use too much because it will make it harder to puff on the e-cig. Take a small amount of the polyester fill and open it up a bit, then squeeze it into the cartridge.
If you need this to figure it out wow, your purchasing these refill liquid drops and parts so common sense should have kicked in. amazing, and to the guy that made it. Its good your helping out all the idiot smokers out there.
You can fill most cartridges in general as long as you can get to the poly filling inside of it. If not you can always drip directly on the atomizer.
If it’s a cartomizer you can drop liquid right into the hole of the cartomizer that’s closest to the battery.
Some cartridges are harder to find the filling, especially the smaller cartridges. If you have a smaller cartridge you can take a paper clip and put it through the hole where you inhale and push out the part that gets refilled. Inside of that part of the cartridge is a small plastic piece that holds the liquid. Then you refill like normal adding drops to that piece.
Question for Admin about tea bag use. Do you use the contents of the tea bag when you refill carts or just the paper? And if you use contents, does it change the taste of the vapor?
No contents, just the paper. Basically you cut the sides off that are glued on the tea bag and the top, empty out the contents and then roll it up and put it inside of the cartridge. Usually you have to cut what is left over from cutting the top and sides in half.
Hi,
I have an NPRO and it works great but the cartridges are a bit expensive and flavors are limited. Is there another “blank” cartridge that will work or can I refill the one I have using the above video? I don’t see why not but want to make sure since I’m so new to all this.
Thanks.
You can refill the cartridges you already have with no problem. The instructions in the video would be the same/similar with an NPRO. Basically if you can get to the filling or where the liquid is stored you can fill pretty much any model out there.
Thanks David. And, to the guy who thinks we’re all idiots, you just don’t understand. Maybe we just know that these are expensive to purchase and want to be sure we’re not going to kill them and have to fork out more money. I know I can’t afford to buy another electronic cigarette. It’s nice to know that someone has tried this before us and it has worked.
So, this is the first I’ve seen of theses e-cigs. What are the drops/liquid? Can you really stop smoking cigs? Do these have nicotine? I am not understanding.
As far as quitting smoking, I can’t say that it will make you stop smoking since everyone is very different. I have heard tons of success stories, but it’s a fairly new product so I can’t give you a definitive success rate (from what I’ve heard and re-order rates it seems to be pretty good).
My wife and I have quit smoking with e-cigarettes now (but we are hooked on e-cigarettes now and constantly use them). There are also some other stories here http://cigarettereplacer.com/category/my-story/ .
You can find tons of success stories online, but like mentioned it’s like any other method, it’s not 100%.
Yes they do have nicotine by the way. At least most of them do. If not you can get refill liquids with nicotine in them.
I prefer 100% sterile cotton balls. Cut those up. Tastes way better than burned polyester if it goes dry and I don’t feel like or worry that I’m inhaling asbestos!
Cotton balls, tea bags, and poly-fill! I’ve been searching on line for replacement wadding and never thought to just look around my own kitchen and bathroom. Thanks for saving me some $$$. Your advice is invaluable and appreciated!
Just letting everyone know, that my husband and I have been using e-cig for a week now. So far he has gone from three packs of 100’s cig a day to a pack a day and I have gone from a pack and a half a day to maybe 5 cigs period a day. We were spending upwards of 80.00 a week for cigs and I was hand rolling my own! This is going to save us a bunch of money! The tobacco I bought for rolling and the tubes are still in the drawer, I figure I will just roll his pack a day and go from there!
I quit smoking regular cigarettes after two weeks of using e-cigs. I have to admit that I own 3 different types of e-cigs and 3 usb Cigs, so I am never without. The switch was easy, but now I love e-cigs. After a few months I will go to a lower nicotine level so I can eventually quit, but I am having so much fun smoking these
I’ve been using e-cigs for 14 months. I was a 2 pack a day smoker for over 30 years. I had tried numerous times to quit with a zero success rate. By the 2nd day on e-cigs I had quit analogs. After 2 months of regular e-cigs (901’s, 501’s, 801’s) I began making box mods. The battery in the regular e-cig will be its downfall. The battery in a mod gives you a much longer usage period. I put most of my homemade mods in storage and finally purchased a Screwdriver (the Rolls Royce of mods). As for filler material in carts I have found a use for my half carton of year old analogs. Take the filter off the analog and trim it to fit your cart. It holds 10-15 drops and seems to last as long as a normal cart. Very neat. Happy Vaping!!
I would like to know more about making your own “mod” or a battery that lasts 2 days mentioned above?
I have a 501 and a magnum…like both but the mega battery for the 501 is almost a must. The short battery life is only a few hours. The Joye 501 pass thru saves me lots of charging time cos I am on the computer alot…cant take it with me but it is always there when I get home. (:
I started with blu…didnt like..then a premium which is similar to a green but not interchangeable. Both being 2 parts and when feilling the carts..I think I put too much liquid sometimes and would kill the atomizer. Anyway like the juice now with my 501..been using polyester to refill my carts and havent bought any new ones in ages. Also enjoy dripping too. I got some great idea like the teabag and cotton for a filler…is cotton safe?
A battery that can last two days would be a regular sized lithium ion battery like a 14500 or similar size. If you know basic electronics (which I don’t) you can easily make a mod. The way mods are made is they take the threads (that connect to the atomizer) from a battery or charger (a lot of times broken batteries are used) and add it to a box that can be powered by a lithium ion battery. The main thing is you need a battery that puts out at least 3.7v.
Hi David,
You know me, always wanting to learn something. This is a cool video. Thank you for sharing what you find.
Quick question though, the longer cartomizers, I cannot get the whit tip out like I could with the shorter ones, just experimenting. When I did finally get one out, there wasn’t an “O” ring. Are these made different where you cannot take them apart?
With cartomizers you actually don’t have to take the white tip out. You can use one of the outer plastic caps, fill it with liquid, then push the mouth end of the cartomizer into the liquid. When liquid comes out of the other end (the end that connects to the battery) it’s full. Then with a napkin you wipe down both ends and it’s ready to use.
Thanks David. I think it is me doing it wrong. I think I will stick with the prefilled. I’m making a mess. I have more liquid that ends up on my lips and all over the battery and hands than anything. It looks so easy. I am sure it is. But, it’s going all over the place and as soon as I see it starts to get to the white tip at the hole, I stop. Cap both ends, then let it sit.
Thank you David. This video really helped and saved me a lot of money. No more buying cartridges for me.
I personally prefer tea bags to polyester fill. They seem to hold more liquid and last longer.
I get a tea bag, cut it in half, then roll it up and insert it into the cartridge.
Most tea bags are made from hemp so it seems like a safer filling then polyester.
David thank you so much for doing these video’s. They have saved me from buying way too much crap that isn’t needed. And I am no longer buying cartridges either. Just an update I was able to confirm the 801 atomizer works with the Royale. I’m not 100% about the battery though.

Who you calling an idiot?
I don’t think he meant to offend anyone, probably just poor choice of words.
Your too kind! Of course people can figure it out. He’s the idiot thinking otherwise.
Can you refill a disposable e-cig cart?
i have a health e-cig and it works fine and was pretty cheap.
You can fill most cartridges in general as long as you can get to the poly filling inside of it. If not you can always drip directly on the atomizer.
